Mistake 1. Not eating enough calories
Perhaps the most serious mistake of all, if you don't eat enough calories, your body won't be able to provide the extra energy for weight gain. Diet is definitely an issue, most people feel like they've had enough, and they don't make the connection between eating more and building muscle. But here's the connection, more food means more muscle.

Mistake 2. Not eating enough carbohydrates
Most people think that carbohydrates are harmful. In fact, this is not the case. Sugar is the culprit that makes people gain weight. Carbohydrates are actually very good for the body and are crucial for you when it comes to gaining weight.
You can replenish carbohydrates through potatoes, which is my recommended carbohydrate food source, and mashed potatoes are my recommended way to eat potatoes. No matter what food is made into a paste, it can speed up your eating. You don't have to be busy eating 24 hours a day. This is the advantage of mashed potatoes.
